Packed with adventure and featuring stunning ski slopes, adventure seekers will feel right at home here. Copper Mountain CO is tucked away in Summit County and includes three highly walkable village areas. There is a thriving tourism scene here. However, it’s also an incredibly pleasant place to live throughout the year.

Local Lifestyle

Copper Mountain is known for its world-class skiing during the winter and hiking and biking in the summer. Many casual restaurants dot this mountain town. Additionally, it’s an area that’s locally famous for its Country Music Festival and annual Bike Tour.

A quieter town than some of its neighbors, Copper Mountain nevertheless boasts some great restaurants. Start your day off right with breakfast at Toast & Co., the only sit-down breakfast spot in Copper Mountain. Grab a hot coffee before heading out to the slopes!

Located at Copper Mountain Resort,  Sawmill Pizza & Taphouse is the perfect place to grab a brew and a slice of delicious, hand-tossed pizza. With draft beers on tap, delicious subs and pastas, and sweet treats, you will definitely find something to enjoy here. Not in the mood for Italian? Grab a quick bite to eat at Jack’s Slopeside Grill & Bar, an open food court with plenty of breakfast and lunch options. Additionally, you’ll love the tasty pub food at Ten Mile Tavern while kicking back on the sunny patio in the heart of Copper Mountain’s Center Village.

Things to Do

Aside from world-class skiing and snowboarding, Copper Mountain has a lot to offer. Adrenaline enthusiasts love flying through powder snow on snowmobile excursions. Dog sledding is a slower but no less thrilling experience. For those seeking a more serene and soothing experience, horse-drawn sleigh rides are available. Don’t forget cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and ice skating; all family favorites. 

Ski enthusiasts can catch Copper Mountain’s famous Dew Tour, a four-day competition featuring some of the world’s best skiers and snowboarders. It’s a great place to see skilled athletes who may go on to one day compete in the Winter Olympics!

Don’t forget about tubing! Hands down on of the most popular activities on the mountain. Zoom down the slope in a giant inner tube near the base of the Super Bee chairlift in the East Village. 

Finally, if skiing and riding all day hasn’t worn you out, the Athletic Club has an indoor pool, well-equipped gym, sauna, steam room, and a variety of spa services.

In addition, during the warmer months, golfing enthusiasts will enjoy spending time at the Copper Creek Golf Course. This Pete and Perry Dye-designed course is challenging and fun for players of all skill levels.

Looking for something to entertain the kids? Copper Mountain offers a variety of fun summer camps that young people are sure to love.
